Crescent Park is a 1.4-mile-long, 20-acre linear riverfront park offering unparalleled views and native vegetation. The park gives visitors to New Orleans another way to experience the unique beauty of both the city and the Mississippi River.

At the park, it is possible to simply sit on the bank of the Mighty Mississippi as it rolls along. The park opened in 2014 and, because of its location in relation to city centre around a deep bend of the Mississippi River, some say it feels as if they even crossed over the river.

Highlights of Crescent Park

Crescent Park is on the waterfront of the Bywater area and at the end of the French Market District. The park provides excellent views of the New Orleans skyline. There are 2 distinct access points into the park, the most renowned of which is an arching bridge over railway tracks that locals call “The Rusty Rainbow.” There is lift access at the entrance near the French Market.

The park has made good use of the land where old warehouses and docks once stood. This space is now ideal for enjoying the view and is used for events such as weddings or parties.
