Overall hotel, staff and facilities were great. The hotel suffered little damaged from recent earthquake, but they took precautions. I was a little disappointed with the lack of food variety, only two restaurants were open. Unsure if this was due to pandemic restrictions or else. One downside is that even though the elevator was restricted to 2 people per use, people didn’t respected it. Staff instructed visitors to use it even when the occupancy was already at capacity. I was told that no pets were allowed, well there was a couple with a dog (not service dog), in the pool area, and at the beach.

They were excellent with enforcing mask wearing and hand sanitizing. All staff were efficient and helpful. I loved my room and the view!! The food was delicious and the drinks were abundant.

The check in Process was horrible. At peak check in time only 3 people worked the 7 computer work stations available. A 45 minute wait is unacceptable. The entertainment was very poor. They used 1 speaker the PA system and the music and announcements was distorted. ALSO everything was in Spanish which is weird for an International Resort. After the Show they could have played dance music. They need a better event coordinator. They didn't give me a reason to want to want to return or anything to tell friends about. Very disappointed.

The restaurants always had a wait and the food was not the best. Not enough pool side seating even though we had VIP. Limited drinks, no food service near the pool. Will not recommend or return

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is nice. I had a couple of issues and some things I would suggest for improvements. The check in time took about 30 minutes and when I have stayed at other AMResorts, you always have champagne while you are waiting. The hotel was out of champagne. So we were just standing there waiting to check in. In addition, the sales people are like used car sales people. I explained to the first sales person, I had already attended an AMR presentation and I was not interested in purchasing. Each time you go to the lobby they are waiting to harass you to give them 20 minutes of your time. I am on vacation and I don't want to waste it seeing a presentation that I have already seen and decided not to purchase. I think they should respect a guest if they do not want to purchase what they are offering. My suite was very nice and with an awesome view. The last thing that puzzled me about the resort is, previously when I stayed in a large resort they always had an ATM machine. This hotel had no ATM machine which means your guest either has to take a taxi to the ATM or walk to the nearest ATM. Now mind you it is extremely hot, so walking in that heat is not enjoyable. Overall, I would have to give this resort a 3.

Overall, I was disappointed with this resort. The food was absolutely horrible (limited variety and it was often cold). Secondly, unlike Cancun and other vacation destinations in Mexico who cater to large int'l travelers and speak English, the Dreams staff spoke very little English. The resort is located in a nice location but it's dated and is in need a renovation. This resort geared towards a "families / kids" then adults. Single adults or couples that want to get away you may want to try another resort. Lastly, when I was trying to relax on the resort's private beach, there were a lot of local people that were walking up to the guest and trying to sell stuff (They were relentless). The resort security said nothing! It was also a safety issue since I was traveling alone. I wouldn't recommend this resort.

The hotel opened 24 days before arrival by us. Too many things weren’t ready, like 3 of their restaurants weren’t open. Only 2 of 5 elevators were working. They put me in the wrong room despite asking explicitly what kind of room it was. They moved me the next day but the AC didn’t work the first 3 days. Food and drinks were inconsistent for quality and it was obvious their staff seriously lacked training. Nice people doing their best to serve, but poorly trained. That said, there were many aspects of the trip we really enjoyed. Pool and crew were excellent. Attention from staff was very good. But things like getting maintenance to our room 5 different times to finally fix the AC was frustrating and involved a lot of my vacation time. Oh! And there were two occasions where untrained staff were going to restrict my access to the restaurants for dress code violations.. both times upper management checked me out and passed me. And later they let people in wearing beach attire... to many things not right.
