There’s much to like about The Shane in Atlanta, but two disappointing experiences led me to give a poor rating. First, upon check-in, the room I was assigned was clearly not ready—someone had used the bed, a hanger was left on it, and there was trash on the floor. I returned to the front desk and was given a different room. Second, during my stay, my night garment went missing after housekeeping cleaned the room. I assume it was accidentally taken with the bedsheets. I followed up several times with both housekeeping and the front desk but received no resolution or meaningful communication. I was repeatedly told they would look into it, but no one ever followed up. After my stay, I emailed the housekeeping manager on July 3 and again on July 6—both messages went unanswered. Overall, the staff were unresponsive, offered no apology or compensation, and failed to take responsibility.
