The motel was pretty good, not terrific but good enough for our needs. Couldn't figure out how to get the TV channels to move off C-Span or some chatty channel like that so that might be operator error and it was too late to call. When we came thru the lobby to get to our room, the desk was in darkness. A pleasant surprise was a hot breakfast (toast, eggs, ham, hash browns, yogurt, cereal) rather than a continental cold breakfast. Obviously, I booked thru hotels.com, guaranteed the booking with my credit card for a specific price. My travel mate decided to pay this hotel room with her card and didn't realize she was paying about $20+ more than I originally booked the room for and this didn't come to light until a day or so later as we added up expenses. Language might have been a factor (it was being operated by Asian people and we did have to repeat ourselves a couple of times) but they should have been aware of the pricing thru hotels.com so I hope it was not intentional. It's only about $20 but at the same time, we're still out $20 and with out-of-control inflation lately, we could have used that for a lunch or gas for our trip. Word to the wise...watch your payment here in case they don't understand how processing payments at hotels.com works.
