Their rooms look nothing like the pictures..plus they lie about you getting deposit back
Reneka, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was a nice homey environment. While the room we stayed in definitely could have used some work, the mom and daughter ( I think ) that run the place are so very kind. The pool area was nice, and overall I would love to go back and would love to see some improvements on the rooms.
Alec, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location, excellent staff , low noise levels near local attractions needed upgrades on room amenities but I would definitely stay at the property again

Banana Peel lodge was the perfect getaway stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the beer pong table and pool area. Staying at BPL was relaxing. We didnt have to worry about a crowded hotel full of your average PCB seasonal beach goers. The house mom was sweet and sassy like an auntie we all have. Loved our stay would be awesome if they had food.

This is a great low budget hotel for anyone who is just trying to sleep nights in their room and enjoy the rest of their day at the beach close by! Overall not a bad location! A little extra sanitizing on your part and you’ll feel like home! Nice pool as well.

Rina was awesome. Thank you so much
Dmitri, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff was friendly. Bed was comfy. Generally fairly quiet. Floors were sticky. AC was inconsistent, temp/fan fluctuated even though it was set to ON, so I kept getting warm and cold.
Wesley, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was outdated with mold, water damage, and smelled like smoke. Neighbor smoked all night—awful experience.
Jenilee, 2-night trip

During my stay I enjoyed the short walk to the beach and my walks to and from waffle house was the highlight of vacation
Tarik, 5-night trip

2/10 Poor

Major Disappointment

We booked this hotel based on the photos and location of the hotel. The hotel was nothing as advertised on your site. I am going to send photos and request a refund. He pool was green and couldn’t be used, water stains on the ceiling and countless roaches. I need a refund.

It was amazing!

Not worth it.

They offered no room service. Had to go and get amenities for yourself in the front office. No dressers or hangers for clothing items, had to live out of our suitcases. And had a huge ant problem in our bathroom. In the middle of a remodel. The staff was nice on a positive note.
Tyler, 5-night trip

Good but limited parking

Everything was okay except the parking. We checked in on a Saturday and although they advertise free parking, parking was very limited. There are more rooms than there are parking spaces. We had to park in a tow zone the first day there but eventually got to move our car to the hotels parking lot.

The staff was very helpful and courteous
Trammell, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Old fashioned, outdated and low budget feel. Broken outdoor furniture and overall just raggedy. 2☆ and those 2 are because of location.

It’s was ok
Jaylan, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Roaches

I checked into Banana Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL yesterday, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. While the room resembled a small apartment and had potential, it was infested with roaches. This made the stay extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. I am requesting a refund and, based on this experience, I do not recommend staying here

Just It's close to the beach.
JIN, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very simple room for a terrific price. Across the street from large hotel, so short walk to public beach access and maybe 6-7 minutes to the pier. Next door to Pour, an amazing coffee shop. Weak WiFi signal from inside room.

Catfished

We felt very catfished by the lovely photos of this “resort.” The chairs by the pool were completely torn up and most didn’t even have cushions. The floors in the room were filthy, I needed to wear flip flops 24/7. The beds are just a sheet set, no blanket. We asked the front desk for a blanket and they gave us a mattress pad/cover. The bathroom was the dirtiest of all. The tv was maybe 32 inches and we didn’t have a remote. The pictures were very very deceiving. Also we had to wear bracelets to be on the property which we found weird for somewhere that didn’t resemble a resort in the slightest. No visitor hours or visitors allowed at all. The staff however was very friendly which was nice.
