We picked this hotel for our last night in Japan because of it's higher ratings, it's closeness to Hamamatsucho Station (which is only one stop from HND Airport on an express train), and it's closeness to Hamarikyu Gardens; that worked out well. If memory serves me right, this hotel was also less expensive compared to other hotels with the same rating. However, this was our least favorite of any of the major hotels we stayed at and was a bit disappointing. The staff seemed a bit stressed, the carpet in the room worn and felt unclean, even though the room was clean. The breakfast was very good. It's an older hotel which means they only have heat or ac in the rooms, an even though temps outside were still warm, the hotel had switched to heat; our room was very warm, but fortunately we could open the window. Finally, after checkout we went back to the hotel to pickup our stored luggage. My husband needed to take a pill so he asked the staff in the restaurant (where we had eaten breakfast and they remembered him) for a glass of water. He was told he would have to pay for water (about US$5); how absurd.
We would not recommend this hotel.
