Stewart and Catherine were the consummate hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a genuine keenness to make our stay as memorable as possible. From the friendly welcome on arrival including complimentary coffee with Catherine’s homemade cake to all the other details that made our stay delightful (complimentary homemade biscuits, fresh milk and homemade slow gin in our room, a wonderfully varied and generous tasty breakfast, only three guest rooms so it was never noisy or too busy with people). It’s a 5 minute stroll to Derwent Water lakeside but the property is also ideally situated for quick road access to the wider Lake District. We’ve stayed at many guest houses in the Lakes over the years: this was easily the best experience.

The nicest B&B we have stayed in. Incredibly clean and tastefully furnished. Very comfortable beds with crisp cotton bedding. Everything , including the lovely garden is so well- cared for. Everything we could need or want had been thought about- home-made biscuits, complimentary gin on arrival, bath robes. Excellent breakfast and very friendly hosts who couldn’t do enough to make our stay such a pleasure. Thank you.

Beautifully presented guest house
Very comfortable bedroom with fabulous bathroom, lovely toiletries, homemade biscuits and sloe gin. Delicious breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming, gave good advice on local walks and directions into town etc. Just one mile walk into Keswick and private parking a bonus. Will definitely stay here again.

Lake district weekend
Lakeview is a well run and friendly guesthouse run by Catherine. The room was spotless clean, all facilities worked ok, such as shower and bath,etc. Parking was on the premises and free but there was ample street parking as well. The area is quiet peaceful and very scenic. We recommend this place to you if you are looking for a traditionally run guesthouse with a homely feel. The breakfast menu was varied, wholesome and excellent quality. We would definitely stay again.

We chose the Lake View as a base for walks in the Keswick area. Everything about our stay there was exceptional. Hosts Stuart and Catherine were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The beds were super comfortable. We made good use of the downstairs lounge as a place to read and consult maps. The property is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the village, and well-served by public transportation. I highly recommend the Lake View.

A beautiful home with outstanding hosts. Perfect location for hiking and getting into Keswick for restaurants and shops. The breakfasts were a highlight. The bed super cosy and comfortable. Just overall a wonderful experience.

Great B&B stay
We had a lovely experience at Lake View. Katherine and Stuart are so lovely, friendly, and just great hosts! Katherine had lots of home made treats on offer. Rooms were quiet, nice bath, great breakfast selection, parking, great location. Would return!

The property is very well maintained . On a arrival we were shown into the lounge which was lovely and cosy with a log fire making it very cosy. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has a shower and separate bath tub. Plentiful of tea/coffee and milk condiments. Morning breakfast was amazing very good selection to choose from. Overall really enjoyed our weekend in the lakes. Nothing to complain about our visit.

A delightful stay
What a wonderful weekend at Lake View. Stuart and Catherine are wonderful hosts and Lake View is a lovely cosy B’n’B. The room was comfortable and spacious with everything you could need, plus some amazing homemade biscuits and Sloe gin. The breakfast was also a delight with locally sourced items. Beautiful location with just a short 20min walk to Keswick
