Hotel Apartment Next to Disco
The Flatrock Suites was very spacious and nice view from the balcony. However, three issues made the stay less enjoyable. The Disco next door, no A/C and location right in the boozen party area. The Disco next door that was adjacent to the master bedroom played loud music all night. I mean all night to 6 am the next morning. We asked if we could move to another room but nothing available. The next issue was the lack of A/C. Fortunately the weather was not too hot during December, but there were a couple days the night temperature was rather warm. With the loud music from the Disco, we could not leave the windows open to help with cool air circulation.
The location was next to the party area of Cape Town. If you want to go drinking and party all night, this is the place for you. However, if you have a family with smaller children, the place may not be the best. There were a lot of questionable people, beggars, etc in the area, especially early evening to late evening.
In addition, the internet was very spotty. We had to purchase data, which was not expensive, but when we would move around the apartment, we would lose connection. There is a free wifi, but the service and data is extremely spotty, recommend purchasing the data.
We took taxis to most places and walked. For the Taxis, you will need have them quote before riding
Overall, we were able to adjust and compensate for the facilities and did enjoy the stay.
