Terrible customer service.
Hotel rooms were nice, however Darell at the front desk was ridiculous. He was incredibly rude and condescending, possibly because our travel group was college age, so he thought it was ok. He did not acknowledge or mention that there would be a $200 extra charge per room as a deposit. I went back to the front desk to ask about it, and he interrupted me when I asked if it was a deposit to say it wasn’t. He then began to explain EXACTLY WHAT A DEPOSIT IS, in a very condescending tone. I asked if the charges would fall off, and he interrupted again to say “I was EXPLAINING that.”
But wait, there’s more!
In the lobby, they have a signup sheet to write down what time you need the airport shuttle. I went down the night before to write that we need it at 6:30 AM. I walk past good old Darell, and write on the list. He watches me and says nothing. The following morning, what we wrote on the sign up sheet is gone. I ask the girl working if the shuttle is coming, and mention how our names aren’t on the list anymore. Apparently that ray of sunshine of a man didn’t change out the sign up sheet for the following day when he was supposed to, and had watched me write down our names on the previous days sheet without saying anything. We had to pay for an uber as we could not wait for the next shuttle to arrive an hour later.
This idiot you have working needs to learn some basic human kindness. Believe it or not Darell, you aren’t the most important person. You work at a front desk.
