Resort Stay Review – Swim-Up Room (Age 39)
The Room:
Upon arrival, I was initially disappointed. While the room was clean, it had an odd smell and didn’t quite match the polished look shown in the photos. It felt a bit outdated. The jacuzzi tub, although clean and functional, had corroded jets and a broken drain that wouldn’t hold water.
The Swim-Up Experience:
At first, I was upset to find our swim-up room was on the outer edge of the resort, facing a shared pool with a few neighboring rooms, some landscaping, and unfortunately, a service road. Throughout the day, workers, cars, and mopeds passed by, which wasn’t the relaxing view I had imagined. However, after exploring the resort, we realized the inner swim-up rooms—while more visually connected to the resort—were constantly busy, loud, and lacked privacy. In contrast, our room, while not perfect, offered peace and seclusion that we ended up preferring.
The Beach:
As a Floridian from the Emerald Coast, I can be a tough critic when it comes to beaches. I was pleasantly surprised—the sand was soft and clean, free of shells or rocks, and the water was beautiful. There were plenty of beach chairs, though you do need to get there early to claim one. The beach buffet lunch was a great touch.
Dining:
Steakhouse: We dined here almost every night. The first night was phenomenal, with perfectly
