Keeping in mind that the Dalgair Hotel is a 2 star, we felt that the hotel was fine and were happy to accept our dog too for our stay. Situated in the centre of Callander beside the Toy museum was good to access things and free parking outside the hotel. The staff were excellent and we thought it was continental breakfast, so a nice surprise to be asked if we would like a hearty warm breakfast, which was great! They also were happy to give my veggie husband the veggie options. Yes all over it could be modernised but it would cost a lot to make improvements and get upgraded to 3/4 stars. With the situation just now with Covid, anti-bac stations, masks and one way systems were all set-up, which made us all feel safe. We will be back hopefully again next year when the Blues festival is back in town. :)
Very nice, recently done up. Bar area nice and well presented
Okay stay for a night or two. A bit rough around the edges
Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast, delicious and plentiful. Room had character and was well equipped. We didn’t want for anything during our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent down to earth hotel. Stayed here numerous times and never been disappointed.
Dalgair Hotel is a great hotel very friendly staff and lovely people food and drink great value for money. Will definitely be back
Clean, fairly spacious room. Excellent breakfast cooked for us. Parking nearby. Very nice place to stay one night along our roadtrip.
The Hotel is tired and shabby. Whilst the bedding and towels were clean, the same couldn’t be said for other areas including tables and menus in the bar and restaurant. Cheap produce, badly cooked for breakfast, the worst breakfast I’ve ever been served. Live music in the bar, directly below my room , was so loud the radiator was buzzing until 1a.m. No reception to complain to. I member of staff seemed to be trying her best to keep the hotel going was very pleasant whilst the owner was nowhere to be seen
Since my last stay the hotel room has been upgraded to a very good standard, before I was in room 5 then it was not upgraded and now I was in room 3 and that was a very good upgraded room.
The staff were very accommodating - couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the village and was very reasonably priced.
