This property has many things going for it. Great beach, pool and plenty of activities for kids. Potentially a great family vacation spot, but a few shortcomings made it less than ideal.
We came here to visit our kids and grandkids and had a great time with them and might come back here, but there were irritants that would make us look elsewhere.
If you like non-stop very loud country music by the pool all day, with no variety, you are going to be in heaven. If not, then well...close to hell. I love music, but I like variety. Hint to management. Less volume, more variety.
Room upkeep is uneven. One day the room was made up and cleaned. For about three days they changed the towels and cleaned out the garbage.
Last two days that didn't even happen and we had to ask for new towels. The garbage just piled up. I've been to a lot of Holiday Inns and other hotel chains but never had this level of 'service'. I don't blame the room staff. This is a management oversight issue.
There is food available at the resort and it is middling ok, but for the same money there are much better options within a 5 minute drive (try Saltwater Grill Seafood). The service at the outdoor restaurant can be very slow as they are understaffed, depending on the number of patrons.
I was not expecting anything like the Atlantis in Dubai, but the simple issues outlined above are not difficult for the management to improve upon and I hope by posting this someone in management might read it and act upon it.
