Cockroach
Being Boxing Day there was only one staff member in the bar that also was checking in guests to their rooms. While efficient, the staff member was curt rather than welcoming and I and my daughter waited while someone else checked in before us and someone else was waiting while we were separately checked in.
One light bulb didn’t work in my daughter’s room so the room was subdued.
A cockroach appeared in the bathroom doorway in my daughter’s room so I sprayed around the edges.
After ambiguity regarding the menu, the waiter told us that the chef said that both dishes served were identical. The barramundi was the best we had been served during that week of travel’ The vegetables on one plate were perfectly cooked with some sauce underneath, but those on the other one were tough, dry and without sauce and the broccolini was difficult to cut. No one asked how our meals were as there seemed to be a “take it or leave it attitude”.
