Good but not 5*
Overall, the accommodation was lovely – not five-star luxury that we’d expected for the price, but we had a lovely trip away. Fridge is very noisy which resulted in a restless sleep on both nights. There was noise from the neighbouring room - you can clearly hear talking from there. No details provided on COVID precautions anywhere in the room. Initially there wasn’t anything to recognise we’re staying for our honeymoon - despite mentioning this on our booking. When we mentioned this on the check-in survey we came back to a congratulations card and a bottle of bubbly which was appreciated. The apartment was Very clean and well appointed. Bed is comfy but could do with different pillow options. Grounds are very impressive and lovely setting right on the Glamorgan coastline. Suggestions for improvement include: 1. Different pillow options, especially as the bed is so firm with the memory foam mattress 2. Better information pack - some of the content was out of date, including the WiFi, key safe box. It would’ve been helpful to have things like taxi numbers, menus from the local pub, or recommendations on the local area. There was some information in the book but it wasn’t exhaustive. Whilst I understand that it is self-contained accommodation, providing more than just a pint of milk on check-in would be reasonable, especially for the cost paid for the accommodation. How about some simple breakfast items, or just some local biscuits to have with a cuppa.

Wonderful place to stay
This place was fabulous, the grounds were stunning and the August Pop up bar in the garden was an added bonus. The Applestore was very luxurious and we were made welcome by all staff. Will certainly return and recommend highly.

We booked and paid for the Apple Store but on arrival, we dialled the provided number to get the key code, to then be told that we won’t be staying at Apple Store and we will be staying at the Stables. Even though all of my email confirmations even confirm that I will be staying at the Apple Store, they still said that it was fully booked for the duration of our stay. Although we were disappointed at first, the Stables was a lovely place. The accommodation, facilities and cleanliness was amazing. Would love to stay again. Just disappointed that the place we were staying at wasn’t what we thought we paid for.

What an amazing place.
We used it for a business trip for convenience due to limited availability in the area during the Covid restrictions. However, the property is so nice it would be more fitting as a honeymoon suite or couples getaway.

By far one of my favourite spots in the entire UK
This was my second stay at the property within the past two weeks. First of all - thank you for still being open for key workers. This time I stayed at The Applestore. Very well equipped kitchen and really comfortable bed. I really liked the bathroom upstairs. Very spacious apartment, perfectly blending spirit of the past with modern design. By far one of my favourite places in the entire country.

the property itself is absolutely stunning, it's comfortable with easy access to the nearest beach and in a quaint little village. The only thing that let it down was that the check in email could've been sent earlier as it was missed and checking in was a longer process because of this. Also, for the money we paid, it would've been nice to have a few more little things included such as bubble bath for the amazing bath as we had to go out and fetch this. That's probably just being particularly picky though, overall it was a beautiful stay.

Beautiful accommodation
An amazing room, simply beautiful. My only issue was arriving in the dark and not being able to find my accommodation. Wandering around the car park looking at doors. The Apple Store is through a gate and up some stairs. You really need a sign post to direct people to it. As there is no reception at the property I tried to call for help but there is no phone signal. An annoying start to a lovely stay.

Great hosts and a magnificent place to stay, so beautiful, awesome, somewhere very special to stay and great history. Cannot rate it more highly, a must stay and not far from Cardiff airport.

A little gem
Amazing find! A superbly comfortable and well equipped studio in delightful surroundings. Hosts fantastic. Would not hesitate to stay again ( in fact we probably will!)
