We stayed on the second floor and had a lot of luggage, but unfortunately, the elevator was out of service. To make matters worse, the luggage caddy was chained and padlocked to a fence, so we couldn’t use it. One of the two phones in the room didn’t work, and our room overlooked a parking lot that was under construction, which also meant that available parking was minimal.
The carpet in our room was visibly dirty, which was disappointing. The waterpark slide was closed when we arrived, though it did open the following day. Still, there was a noticeable lack of staff and security presence. In the lazy river, we saw a couple feeding their completely nude infant, no diaper or swim diaper, while kids were jumping off the bridge into the lazy river. It felt chaotic and unsafe.
The pool had a swim-up bar, but there was no staff attending it. Later, the bathroom sink handle detached in my hand. We were also woken up early by loud drilling as maintenance worked on what seemed to be cable or internet installation. Speaking of internet, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and I had to use my personal hotspot.
On a positive note, the staff we did encounter were friendly. One gentleman from Boston stood out, he unlocked the luggage caddy for us and helped load our belongings into the car. He was the highlight of our stay, and I appreciated his help more than I can say.
Unfortunately, that kindness wasn’t enough to offset the overall experience. I won’t be returning.
