Horrible birthday getaway.
First it was construction where we were. They were doing work on the hotel. So finding a place to park was difficult. The room setup was nice but the chair was old and the couch needed cleaning. It had a big stain on the carpet. Room smell musty. I didn't know people live their 24/7 we saw people standing outside looking at us as we got out to go too our room. My TV in the front was not working. I called they told me someone would come in the morning to check it out. The person living above me sound like they were coming threw the ceiling all night. Me and my wife was coming from dinner and was greeted by a pit bull coming down the stairs. The lady asked where we was going. And said the dog was friendly my wife was freaking out. She took him back in her room. So we could walk up the stairs. A lot of people living there have dogs that they let walk around.more then one pit bull. The next day we got out the car too a dog barking at us . No owner anywhere in site . Again my wife was scared to walk to our room. And we were woke up to dogs barking in their rooms . I would never stay their again. Everyone seems like their friends around the place. It was my birthday get away. So we made the best of the stay.

Don’t Play Balme Game- Fix it!
Hotel told me that it was the fault of hotels that I booked but they didn’t have a room available. I heard , well you booked through a third party. And after hearing that there was in fact a room available, but the bed wasn’t made ; a late night employee was asked to make it and wasn’t at all interested. When I told the front desk about all of my concerns and hearing this employee not seeming concerned, she actually said “well that’s not here nor there”???? I wonder if hotel chain management, who obviously USE third party services, know that their employees BLAME them!

An “okay” stay
Check in was fine. Floors in the room with gross, there was candle wax or putty or something on almost all the carpets and doors. Kitchen floor was sticky. Bought groceries on Sunday and the fridge crapped out overnight ruining all the groceries and take out in it. Got an “sorry that happened” with a fridge replacement and no compensation for all food lost. Breakfast was alright. Kids enjoyed the pool. Room was at least spacious for our trip.

Sonesta hotels are usually great. However, this property is only so-so. Inside hotel looks fine, bed sleeps fine, AC works great, and police station is across the street. The windowsill is dirty, patio is dirty, & bathroom toilet did not flush well. The exterior is bad and needs alot of repair. The smell of weed is present outside at all times once you step outside of your room. This property would not be good for family with little kids unless you are desperate in need of a place to rest for only a night. Best for solo travelers who are adult and can withstand the smell and budget reasons.

We really enjoyed the area and the location of the property. It was great place for our family to stay. I love that they offer apartment style rentals for an affordable price. The cooking pans are a fire waiting to happen with the wrong person. They were very cheap and burned fast. The couch in the living room was a pullout Bed, it was full of dog hair and was not really clean but very comfortable. I recommend the property for the stay and the family style feel that it provided. The maintenance of the pool could’ve been a lot better, but overall, we had a good experience!

Kiki at the front desk was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Yelling and screaming and smacking the desk just cause I asked a question about the fact that she was saying check out was at 11 yet the paper we signed said 12. Horrible experience for staying here for one night. She also said we were all set yet hadn't even given us keys. Asked for a manager and she refused to get one but with how loud and rude she was 2 of them came. Room is not clean! Many areas of the room you can tell are completely untouched. One of the curtains missing completely. Room is supposed to come with silverware dishes and pots and pans yet they barely have any for a room that sleep 4. One fork for up to 4 people. Seriously. Bedroom remote didn't work. Wifi was terrible as well

The initial hotel room felt unclean, there were cigarette burn holes in the carpet, the curtain was torn, the microwave door was broken there was chewing gum stuck to our comforter. Also, the wait staff and the hotel manager said that they do not change the sheets every day or give the guests towels every day which I thought was unusual. The rooms were small, they were doing renovations to the hotel while we were there. There were people actually living at the hotel long term. If you are looking for a luxury stay on your vacation, do not choose this hotel. The hotel manager was gracious enough to get us a cleaner, better room after the 2nd day. We made the best of it.
