Amenities and rooms unavailable as booked
At check in-I was placed on the third floor-and then told no other rooms were available and that the elevator wasn’t working. Thank goodness I wasn’t disabled or elderly or those stairs would have been miserable without even an offer of help from staff.
The room key then didn’t work after going up three flights of stairs. Manager on duty (Dewayne) was rude but did reset key.
The King Suite room we were given was in good condition except that the toilet was broken and there were some places the walls looked stained. When calling to the front desk to ask to have the toilet looked at we were immediately moved to a new room across the hall to a Queen Suite with fewer amenities and dirtier bathroom and floors-but at least the toilet worked. When asking Dewayne about the difference in room and bed size I was told that it would be “figured out tomorrow with Mindy.”
The manager Mindy the following day at checkout was unaware of the room change or request for a refund of the difference in room and bed booking cost. I gave my phone number and name and was told I would be called in an hour or so with at least an update. 12 hours later and no call. When I call the hotel the phone is hung up on me and I can’t leave a voicemail.
Terrible service, dirty rooms, and promised fixes didn’t happen.
