We stayed in the annex, which was a self contained loft above the domestic garage to this beautiful house and gardens. The annex was perfect for our purposes, well appointed with TV, tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, fridge downstairs, etc and very comfortable. Breakfast for two persons provided for the excellent value price of £7 per night incorporating juice, bread, butter. Jam, home made marmalade, brioche, fresh strawberries, milk, biscuits and cereal bars, home made muesli and boxes of cereal. Bed was comfortable and the room light and airy with velux windows. Excellent shower downstairs with WC with shower gel shampoo and towels provided. The location is right on the edge of the New Forest and a lovely walk-to the right as you exit the drive to the property-leads you to dense forest where you can see the New Forest ponies. Beautiful! Two pubs with food approximately a 10-15 minute walk away (5 mins in car). We tried one of these which was very good but both come recommended. Co op and Budgets also close by to provide for any other needs. The hosts are lovely-friendly but inconspicuous unless you need them and give you access to their beautiful garden.
All in all a fantastic base for visiting the New Forest or the South Coast
