Staff was excellent. Food needs improvement. The buffets are subpar. Best bet- order your lunch from the pool waiters. That food is good. Beware that when they assign you the restaurants that are “included” in the all inclusive package; you get the bare bones mimimum food menu items. All the greater quality dishes have a very high surcharge. In addition….if you want a pinot grigio that’ll gost you $12 but a suavignon blanc is included. House margs included but a premium (golden) margarita is an upcharge. Only good restaurant in the all inclusive option was Hacienda Sisal. I ventured out to other local restaurants for 2 nights because I was so disappointed in the food quality and selection.
Pool is probably the best at all the resorts I stayed at. Proximity to ocean is perfect. The hotel is loud at night when trying to sleep. Doors slamming, you can hear people in hallways. Chairs moving on balconies, etc. Not a place if you are looking for peace and quiet. Best part of the resort is the pool and accomodating staff. Everyone is very friendly. Worst is the food.
