3 star property, hmmmmmmm
The outside of the hotel is nice. Lobby is on second floor. We were given room 520. It was spacious. Oceanview. The downside was that the room is very tired looking. Chipped furniture on legs, lamps missing hardware and shades needed a dire dusting. The furniture is quite worn, the back of the loveseat had stains from heads and probably sun tan lotion bodies sitting on them. The rooms need some patching and repainting. The beds were okay. They squeak. The kitchen could use a new coffee maker as the lid was broken when I went to use it. Just little stuff that make a stay more pleasurable. You do have to gather your garbage, linens and towels at the end of your stay, and take them to the laundry chute which I thought was weird. The view from the patio was very nice. We did not look at the pool area or the lazy river but from where we were staying it looked clean and upkept. There is no restaurant on site and you can walk a few blocks to restaurants for both dinners and breakfast. We did walk down the boardwalk to the Sky Wheel. It is low season so not a lot of foot traffic. The stores sell the regular run of the mill souvenirs. Probably 50% of the restaurants and bars were closed for well-deserved vacations by the owners. Would I stay here again. Not sure. They do not take pets either so that may influence our decision. This is not a typical hotel. I think that the owners of the condo rent them out when they are not using them. Seemed more like a VRBO than a hotel.
