Lovely but odd communication
The most important thing to know about Kenect Phoenix is that it doesn't function like a regular hotel. As far as I can tell in the building there are co-working spaces, apartments and hotel rooms. It was almost like it was a collection of air-bnbs. One way that this effected me is that it doesn't have a normal front desk that is staffed 24-7, All check in and out information came via email. Also the phone number I had called a switchboard offsite that didn't know what wi-fi network or password to use. The room and building were very clean and in great condition. The concierges were very friendly. The kitchenette had plenty of dishes and cookware. It was almost like I had a temporary apartment, But like an apartment it wasn't clear who to call if I wanted another blanket or needed a hand.

Uncomfortable facilities / Unfriendly management
Uncomfortable bed and pillows. No desk in the room. Neighbours in one of the adjacent rooms constantly cook something with huge amounts of chilli so the entire apartment always smelled of it. The checkout time is really early (10am) and the hotel management is really hard to reach (the receptionists don't have access to them) and they are also really inflexible about checking out times. Couldn't even extend it by half an hour and were very unfriendly about it.

Clean, quiet hotel. Lots to do within walking distance! My only complaint was the bed is more of a fold out couch, rather than a real bed.

The good: The staff is awesome. Very helpful and nice. The building is new and was in good condition. It was close proximity to the convention center for my event. There is a nice food market nearby, so I could get groceries and cook some meals. I had a studio with a murphy bed, and it was plenty of space. Lots of closets. The roof top deck and pool are gorgeous and quiet. The separate sitting area on level 8 and the communal workspace was also convenient. I didn't use the gym, but it had a lot of equipment and looked nice. The NOT so GOOD: My hot water was sporadic. I mostly had cold to luke- warm showers the first two days, I couldn't get my dishwasher to work. Black out curtains would have been nice, I'm used to sleeping in darkness, and it didn't feel very private. My door wouldn't close all the way on its own, so a few times I came back, and my door was not closed. My last day I was moving my stuff out from under the bathroom vanity, and I came across a used Crack/meth pipe, that was laying behind the tissue box holder.. I was shocked and a little pissed. Other than that it was great, and I would recommend.

Overall was a pretty good stay, however the late check in time of 4 is really inconvenient and there is little to no communication about being able to check in even a couple hours earlier. Fire alarm also went off during my stay with no explanation. But the room was nice and clean and me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay for the most part.

That was a "bed"?
The front desk staff was meh. Not very helpful when we where informed there was no on site parking for "hotel" guests. However, the rest of the staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful. Now to the "bed" it was no bed, it was a full size pull out sofa bed.. with a 3inch mattress! Now we are not plus size by any means and we slept TERRIBLY.

I wish i remembered his name but the gentlemen who checked me in first night was amazing. Room was clean and functional. The only downside was those shades on windows. Very transparent so light comes right thru it. Oyher fownside the murphy bed mattrss not very comfortable. Very thin anf uncomfortable. Great staff and area though

Stayed 4 nights. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Specifically Dani Kalcow and Farey Gibson. Close to Chase Field and plenty of great restaurants. Will return if visiting again.

Amazing place with a couple flaws
Overall, I loved it — good kitchen in the room that I used every night, beautiful property, beautiful sunset view from the pool, great amenities, great location. Amazing value — half the price of an equivalent hotel. The on tap cold brew was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had (though it did run out near the end of my stay and was not replenished). Two problems that may or may not matter depending on your needs: 1. No blackout curtains. Just thin sheer shades. Unless you wear an eye mask, the sun WILL wake you up. I needed to be up early for work so that was fine for me, but if you need to or want to sleep in past sunrise, bring an eye mask or go somewhere else. Wild that blackout shades are not installed. I get that these are basically nice apartments… but if I lived here the first thing I would do would be hang some darker window coverings. 2. Parking: I walked and did not have a vehicle, so not a problem for me, but the front desk seemed SO relieved that I didn’t need parking. If you will have a car, DO YOUR RESEARCH on where to park and make sure you’re good with that, as it seems that they don’t have onsite parking and it can be kind of a problem.

They want a ton of extra information to stay there and the bed is a thin futon mattress on a Murphy hideaway. While the view was decent the curtain was mesh and let every bit of light in in the morning. It’s a trendy studio apartment room that is reminiscent of ikea but ultimately not comfortable and not a restful sleep.

I loved the amenities that came with my stay. Washer and Dryer along with the solution to wash clothes. The room was also furnished with dishes and cooking material There were so many things that came with the studio. The coffee, soap, body wash etc. Also the air condition worked really well. My only issue was my initial check in day was a bad experience due to nobody being at the front desk beside security. I was not able to check in and had to stay at a different hotel my first day. Angela and Jason gave their apologies to me. These were members of staff that are managers based on their words. I spoke to them through the Kenect phoenix phone number.
