I can't give a review of my stay, because I did'nt get a chance to stay there!
I arrived at Homewood Suites in Springfield, VA around 2:00 AM on Saturday, March 3rd. No one was working the front desk. I understood that it was after midnight, and most scheduled guests were probably checked in already. The entrance to the lobby office was roped off. There was no sign that said a front desk worker was returning to the desk in a certain time frame. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I waited for almost an hour for somebody to check me in. It did'nt happen. I called the Homewood Suites hotline for help. Nothing but pre-recorded messages, including a pre-recorded apology for no one being available. So I slept in my bus that night (I'm a bus driver).
That morning, I returned to the front desk. The fellow at the desk seemed surprised that nobody was there to check me in. He assured me that Hilton would'nt charge me anything. In 32 years of tour bus driving, this never happened to me, regardless of how late I checked in.
