Don’t fall for a false upgrade!! It doesn’t exist!
The hotel is more of a motel, which is fine. It does the job of providing a comfortable bed in a nice cool environment. The pool was nice and clean, but there is NO shade!!! The umbrellas are all broken so it’s very hot!!!!
The bed frame was very loud because it was made out of metal, not really an issue. The room was nice and cold especially after coming back from a very hot Virginia Beach day in the sun. The bathroom was clean but the toilet had no flush power. Had to improvise by throwing extra water in there while flushing so it would go down.
Housekeeping never came, I asked for a change in towels after day 2 but they never came, like if they didn’t get the memo. We had to grab them while they were walking in front of our room to have them switch them out.
MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT is not with the hotel itself, but the hotels.com website that allows you to pay for an upgrade that DOES NOT exist. DO NOT fall for this scam. The standard room rate is either for a King or two doubles. They offered me an option that was for two queen beds instead of doubles at a higher rate which I paid and when I checked into the hotel they told me that they don’t even have that as an option in their hotel. So I ended up in the standard double/double room even though I paid extra to stay in a queen/queen room.
My friend and I both booked the same hotel on the same days but I paid more for the same exact thing she got because of the false upgrade hotels.com offers
