The hotel is right by the main central station, so there is easy access to and from the airport. On the downside the area around a big train station is usually quite dodgy in a large city, and this was also the case here.
I’m not usually bothered by street noise so I disregarded the many complaints about it in the reviews. That was clearly a mistake! All night every night there were drug addicts, dope sellers and people in varying degrees of craziness shouting in the street which made it impossible to sleep, even with earplugs and the windows closed.
I had only been given one pillow, and when I asked for more this was seen as a huge inconvenience by the person at the front desk. I kept insisting and I eventually managed to get bedding for the spare pillow and quilt in the wardrobe. I have never before experienced this being a problem.
I had to cut my stay short because of a family emergency back home, and the manager kindly reimbursed me for a night which was really nice of her.
I won’t be coming back because of the noise from the street.
