This hotel had good reviews and as part of the Wyndham chain, I expected a good stay. Sadly, I was wrong.
First the good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
Now, the bad. When we first walked into our room, we found out the refrigerator didn’t work. We have refrigerated medicines, so a refrigerator was a must. We told the front desk staff who was helpful and gave us a different room. The new room had coffee, but no coffee pot. We always travel with our own coffee maker, so this wasn't a huge issue for us, but was another indication of the lack of attention to the property's condition. The toilet would run and run without stopping about half the time. The room was recently renovated, but the the cleaning was marginal. All of these are fairly minor, but altogether add up to a less than desirable stay.
But there was a total deal- breaker. Our door would not latch and lock. We discovered this leaving for an early morning appointment. We had to remove all of our valuables and lock them in the car, and just hope no one came in and stole our remaing property or trashed the room. We reported this to the front desk clerk and he assured us it would be fixed when we got back. It wasn't. Fortunately, we were leaving the next day, or we would have found another place to stay.
We will NEVER stay here again, and doubt we will consider a Wyndham property again.
