Very disappointing stay
We were disappointed in our stay at this La Quinta for several reasons. First, we were informed at check-in that because of delivery issues with the weather, there would be no breakfast for either of the two mornings we'd be there. While I understand that these things happen, we had chosen this hotel largely due to the inclusion of two morning meals we wouldn't have to budget for. We weren't offered any compensation to that effect, and as a result, our vacation went over budget. If the delivery wasn't going to happen, it seems an easy solution for management to have purchased goods an alternative way (at the grocery store, for example) this one time so that customers could eat- at least put out bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, toast, anything. If not that, then provide us with vouchers for food elsewhere- and if not that, discount our rate. Secondly, the hotel was not clean. I'm not a person who requires a place to be immaculate, but this hotel had a strong, sickening odor, like smoke and rot. There were visible smears on the wall near the elevator, and smears on the elevator door itself. Lastly, even though we had been assured that even though there was no food, there would be plenty of coffee,... on our first morning, there was none. The second morning, there was enough for about 2/3 of a cup, but no creamer at the carafe. I had to ask for that at the desk once someone arrived there a few minutes later. And after checking out, there was no "thank you," "goodbye," nothing.
