I'm a positive person who stays in hotels a good 25-30 nights a year, and I very rarely post negative reviews. However, this place was simply not a 4-star experience. Although the location is very good and the building itself is beautiful, there were simply too many things that were not up to standard in this category.
My room had a moldy smell and the toilet didn't flush (then they fixed it, then it wouldn't stop flushing, then they fixed it again... that sort of thing). WIFI coverage was terrible, and the room had only one electrical outlet, placed nowhere near a table or other flat surface. The TV couldn't change channels - the remote was broken, it seemed.
The hotel has no coffee- or tea-making facilities for guests, and there's not even a bottle of water in the room. When you ask for one, they charge it to your room. Several staff members were patronizing to me when I asked them simple practical questions, and I just generally felt unwelcome there. Especially the person in charge of the breakfast was unfriendly, upholding some petty unhospitable rule about "only one cup of coffee per person". Not a place I enjoyed. I can't recommend it..
