Nice accommodation but way to many issues
The apartment was nice and clean. Cupboards quite worn off but that was not an issue for us. Limited quantity of tableware but we made it work. So, overall review of the apartment, quite nice.
However, there were other things that made this whole experience difficult. (I always use hotels.com because up until now I have always been satisfied with whatever acommodation I book and the whole process around it.) This time I was surprised to be contacted by a 3rd party by text message, asking for a credit card and a picture ID. I am not used to this when booking at hotels.com and if I would have been notified when booking that I would be contacted directly by the company that owns the apartments, having to send them these information, it would have been much nicer as I would have expected that. But this came to me as a surprise and it was not easy getting it confirmed that this was legit.
The worst thing though was endless problems getting in to the house. The code I got sent didn´t work and calling service number for another code took way too long. The new code we recieved did not work and overall it took a lot of time before getting in. The next day the number pad to get inside the house was dead (we contacted maintainence and waited) but because we had somewhere important to be, we ended up leaving without knowing if we could get in at all when coming back. It was not a nice feeling. I think the company was trying their best but I guess we were just unlucky.
