Good base in Paris
Citadines Opera is a little hard to find the first time. Only a small sign and a small entrance. Once found the staff was friendly and quick. There is a very nice bakery just on the corner a few meters away, perfect start to the day. The Metro is very close and lots of nice resturants in close proximity. We found most places of interest in walking distance, if not, the metro was very close. The room was fine for us, maybe a little tired, but did the job. But some people might object to slight mold in the shower, smoking smell sometimes on the fourth floor. And worst of all a bad sewer smell some times.. They have a scent dispenser on the hallway dispensing a strong vanilla scent that points to an issue. Anyway, this is Paris, we did not expect everything to be perfect, except the food (which was perfect)! So we just solved the smell issue by having the windows open during the day, and closed them in the evening when smoking smell started to waft up.
All in all, an expensive hotel for what it is. But I guess you would be hard pressed to find better for a family of four in Paris for a few days.
