I’ll start with the positive.
Swimming pool was one of the best small pools in a hotel I’ve ever experienced.
Perfect temperature. Shower in changing room was great.
Sadly all slightly moany now.
The changing room is are tiny, the men’s doesn’t even have any cubicles, it’s just open plan locker-room, which isn’t great with kids, luckily was super quiet.
The building, car park, and reception overall good first impression.
I never tried the restaurant so can’t comment.
Staff were friendly.
The family room I had on 7th floor was seriously damp with condensation, all the bedding was damp, walls and windows dripping. Like camping or a dilapidated caravan, horrible. The room itself was nice and well proportioned, but I imagine being off season they room wasn’t ’in use’ much, so wasn’t being heated, and poor ventilation meant was like a derelict abandoned room. Arrived too late to give a damn, in morning moved to another family room, shockingly the same, cold damp, stale. They sent maintenance?! The guy took one look and said let’s get you moved. Sure heating the room would have helped, but would need 8hours of dehumidification to dry room out.
Last room wasn’t as good as the family room, but was dry, and clean. Had large speaking sized bed, with sofa bed, and pull out camp bed; family room had king sized and two bunk beds, but I’d take warm and dry over damp and cold any day. Lastly the mattresses were really noisy springs, like clapped out suspension.
