Too Hot for a Shower
We nearly burned ourselves in the shower and when we complained to management they said it was our fault. I tried to explain that it was like there was no cold water being mixed with the hot water but they told us that was impossible. They came to the room and said it was because we didn't know how to run the controls. It wasn't until I showed them that only hot water was coming out of the sink that they believed us. After five minutes of calls they realized that there was a cold water shutoff above the door. "I don't know why that would have been shut off." The condition was dangerous. Such valves should not be where another guest may fiddle with them.
We only stayed one night. The other problem: there is no place to walk, at all and a really inadequate place to work out. We came to Italy to walk and stretch but that wasn't possible, unless you count the four flights of stairs you had to climb to get to our second floor room.
The view is beautiful but that was the only thing this room had to recommend. We were so unhappy with day one of our trip that we ripped up our itinerary and went north to Florence.
